1st February 2010 IdN Magazine — The Colour Issue  First of all, sorry for the lack of updates of lately. I've got my hands full with really interesting projects for clients at Bleed. We're also working hard with producing our own book, a couple of exhibitions and planning our summer party to celebrate that Bleed turns 10 years old, our new studio, and our new profile. After a couple of months delay, my feature in IdN Magazine finally came out. It's in The Colour Issue, Jan/Feb 2010, on page 87. #11 Packing A Skateboard Punch If you grew up in the 1980s, arcade games, skateboarding, street art and music were the vitamins that promoted your teenage growth. Sometimes, those elements have persisted in influencing the lives they touched in later years, too. Based in Oslo, Norway, Swedish designer Joakim Jansson developed his interest in graphic design from the illustrations on his skateboard deck – and it shows. After graduating from the renowned Hyper Island school in Karlskrona, Sweden in 2004, Jansson moved to Oslo and started his career there. He focuses on art direction, graphic design, typography, illustration, branding and web design. He is currently working with Bleed, one of the most award-winning design agencies in Norway. Aside from his graphic design work, he also owns a club in Oslo called Soda Popinski, which is his DJ pseudonym and the name of a character from an old boxing video game called Punch-Out!! They have a very clever "browse by colour" theme. 20th September 2009 Editorial work in NY Times: On Language - The Age of Undoing  My typographic/illustration header is featured in todays NY Times Magazine, in the On Language column. Read the article here. 5th September 2009 Colour Mania released next week + IdN Magazine delayed 1 month Got great news from Victionary in the mail today. They're releasing Colour Mania next week. Another email, this time from IdN, told me my feature has been delayed/moved to the next issue. Expected to be out in late November. 25th August 2009 I have joined the designstudio Bleed In one week, 1st September I'll do my first day at one of Norways most award winning designstudios, Bleed. I can't even describe how excited I am to start working with the people there. There are already a couple of interesting projects lined up in the pipeline. 19th August 2009 Editorial work in The NY Times Magazine I will be doing editorial work for The NY Times Magazine Sunday paper in early September. 26th July 2009 IdN Magazine + Colour Mania I'll be featured as Pick Of The Month in the next issue of Idn Magazine (HK), v16n5. The magazine will be out in October/November. It's also confirmed that some of my work for Provrum is featured in Victionary latest book, Colour Mania. 25th June 2009 The King Of Pop  The King of Pop.
